DRAKENGUARD

La banda alemana de folk metal Saltatio Mortis, sigue su camino en este 2024 con el disco "Finsterwatch" que vio la luz el pasado 31 de mayo, siendo ya su décimo tercer album de estudio desde su formación en 2000. Como siempre su influjo medieval está presente y que mejor manera de publicitarse que versionar uno de sus temas en ingles con el refuerzo de Blind Guardian, y la orquesta sinfónica de Praga, "Drakenguard" es el tema y de él dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube de su espectacular y cinemático clip oficial.

Darkness weighs heavily upon the land.

 The mountain peaks soar ominously towards the heavens.

 After all these years, it is here again. 

This mysterious whispering in the night. 

What is hiding there in the gloomy forests? 

A storm is gathering.

 The cold is now biting on the Dark Ridge. 

Yet, there is hope. 

For in the midst of this gloom, the guardians of the watch stand ready, up high on the towers. Day after day. Night after night.

 Ready to defend our families and our land with their lives.

 When they ignite their torches…then may the 

Goddess have mercy on us. It is the fires of fear that burn there now. 

May the courage of the watch burn brighter than the light of the flames.

 For they are our last bastion against that which lies in wait for us in the shadows.

 And our only hope remains there – there on the 

Darkenguard. High in the sky, the flames ablaze

 To the heavens vast and far 

A sign of hope in darkest nights 

Each pyre ́s like a burning star 

 Bid farewell, fellows 

Let’s sing the final chant Shield to shield united through the night 

 On the Darkenguard 

 Stoic warriors, without rest/peace

 Our gaze as sharp as steel Nothing to fear,

 in unison We stand as one,
