STEEL  ON  STEEL

Vamos con otra de las varias bandas que adoptaron el nombre de "Avenger" para desarrollar su carrera musical, en esta ocasión con lo británicos, poseedores de un estilo NWOTHM con cierto toque de heavy metal veloz, un tanto speedico en ocasiones. Hablamos de la década de los 80 de nuevo, en una banda que comenzó como colaboración de otros músicos de grupos coetaneos para formar este "Avenger", sonando bandas como Blitzkrieg i Axe Victims, de las que ya he hablado en el blog. El grupo se forma en 1982 para tener un primer periodo de actividad hasta 1986 habiendo editado dos LP's en dicho periodo, (1984 y 1985), separandose en 1986 imagino que por la poca repercusión en la escena de la época tan repleta de bandas. Tendrían una segunda época de actividad desde 2005 en adelante, bastante incierta y que se extiende hasta la actualidad pero que solo ha dado frutos en forma de LP en 2014. Es por lo tanto otro de esos muchos grupos que, sin desmerecer para nada no han llegado a cuajar del todo, sin apenas reconocimiento pero que siempre es interesante descubrir porque siempre uno puede rascar algo de este tipo de bandas, en ocasiones se descubren auténticos grupazos enterrados en las arenas del tiempo. De este segundo LP de la banda, "Killer Elite", de 1985, dejo hoy en el blog la canción "Steel on steel" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube, heavy metal ochentero del de toda la vida, ni más ni menos.
