SAMOURAI

 Otra banda más que desarrollo el grueso de su obra en la década de los 80, y otro grupo que, en la presente década ha decidido darse una segunda oportunidad para intentar relanzar su carrera, quien sabe si intentando alcanzar el éxito que entonces no lograron o si simplemente han querido rememorar tiempos pasados. Ostrogoth es una banda perteneciente a la escena belga, una escena que en los 80 resultó más que interesante y que igualmente hoy en día nos deja grandes ejemplos de bandas de altisima calidad, alguna de las cuales ya he traido a este blog. Ostrogoth se forma en 1980 y tiene un primer periodo de actividad hasta 1988, año en el que deciden separarse. Como decía más arriba, en 2010 deciden darse una segunda oportunidad aunque tan solo el batería Mario Pawells permanece en la banda de los miembros que la integraban originalmente. De igual manera estamos ante una banda que ha sufrido innumerables cambios en su formación a lo largo de su carrera. En total tienen editados 3 LP's y un EP en la primera parte de su carrera, así como otro EP tras su reunión. El estilo es un heavy metal de corte clásico y europeo, en ocasiones más influido por el speed y en otras por la NWOBHM, eso sí, siempre con un gran gusto compositivo y una gran calidad para nada reconocida a nivel internacional en la medida que merecieron. Hoy quiero dejar en el blog un tema de su tercer y último, (hasta la fecha de esta reseña) LP editado "Feelings Of Fury", de 1987, en concreto quiero dejar la canción "Samourai" absolutamente ochentera, con ese aire que el sonido tenía en esa época, y de la que dejo un enlace a youtube. En definitiva otra banda interesante que recuperar si ya les conocías, o que descubrir si aún no lo habías hecho.
