Otro disco más que aproxima la fecha de su publicación oficial, Asenblut y su "Urgewalt" cuya salida oficial se espera para el 18 de este mes de septiembre. Será el sexto disco de estudio de esta banda alemana y de momento van dejándonos más adelantos como este "Das ende der pflitch" del que dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube de su videoclip oficial.

First Strike - Out Of Control

OUT  OF  CONTROL 

Una de las varias bandas que escogieron este nombre First Strike para desarrollar su carrera musical fueron estos estadounidenses que lo intentaron a inicios de la década de los ochenta. Fueron otra de esas bandas de breve vida activa (entre 1979 y 1989) y el único fruto compositivo lo dieron en 1984 a través de su único LP "Rock of offense". Hablamos de una banda cuyo argumento compositivo fue el heavy metal melódico, y a la que se puede meter en ese grupo de bandas catalogadas como metal cristiano por su temática lírica de fondo. Tyran' Pace - Highway Knights

 

HIGHWAY  KNIGHTS

Tyran' Pace, una de las bandas pioneras aunque siempre quedaron en un segundo plano de la escena internacional y germana, de la que proceden. Con Ralf Scheepers como nombre más importante en la actualidad en esos momentos de inicios de los 80 absolutamente desconocido, como es normal, hablamos como digo de comienzos de los ochenta, en casi el inicio de nuestro sonido. El grupo se forma en 1982 para separarse en primera instancia en 1986 y tras una reanimación a finales de los 90 cerrar su historia definitivamente en 2005. Cuatro LP's de estudio en su periplo de dos épocas tres en su primera parte (84, 85 y 86) y uno más en el 98. La sensación del sonido del grupo es siempre entre evocadora de los grandes clásicos, (sobre todo Judas) y una sensación de banda en sus comienzos, sobre todo en temas productivos, pero con innegable calidad. Grimner - Traldomens Far

TRALDOMENS  FAR 

Regreso de los suecos Grimner en este 2026 con "Stormvingar" su quinto LP de estudio que publicarán de forma oficial pasado mañana 4 de septiembre. Desde su formación en 2008 además de los citados LP's la banda ha publicado un total de tres EP's más a inicios de su carrera. Siempre desde su concepción sonora vikinga y folk con fondo vocal áspero, sus canciones están llenas de melodía y rememoran ese tiempo pretérito creando una atmósfera nórdica y épica. Hoy dejo uno de los adelantos de su nueva obra, concretamente "Traldomens Far" del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su clip oficial.

Pegasus - The Dungeon Master Part 2

THE  DUNGEON  MASTER  PART 2 

Si uno dedica el tiempo necesario para investigar más allá de las cosas evidentes, de las grandes marcas y los grandes nombres siempre corre el riesgo de encontrar cosas interesantes que han permanecido ocultas a la mayoría de las miradas, bandas en este caso, que han ido dando sus pasos en la oscuridad del anonimato sin poder acceder a los grandes circuitos de promoción, o porque su propuesta es menos de masas, más personal. En esas estamos ante los alemanes Pegasus, que cultivan su heavy power oscuro, con rasgos black y buenas dosis de épica, terreno abonado para espadas y dragones, pero con un toque más oscuro. Aún en activo pero sin publicar nada en casi 20 años, (desde 2007), la banda se forma en 1993 habiendo publicado dos LP's de estudio (2001 y 2006) a los que sumar cuatro EP's (1999, 2002, 2005 y 2007). Tokyo Blade - Screaming Evil

SCREAMING  EVIL 

Muchos fueron los grupos que, a pesar de formar parte activa y reconocible de los pioneros, muchas veces dentro del movimiento de la NWOBHM, por supuesto en la parte inicial de los años ochenta, desarrollaron una primera parte de su carrera demasiado fugaz, incluso aunque ocupase esa fugacidad toda esa citada década, como es el caso de estos británicos, Tokyo Blade, y que depués desapareciesen sin más, (aunque Tokyo Blade resisitiese la pirmera mitad de los 90), para luego reaparecer un par de décadas después con una segunda parte de actividad, en este caso concreto desde 2011, relanzando su carrera. Parece un patrón bastante repetido para ser casual, y es que la escena desde los años 10 de este siglo ha resultado ser mucho más propicio para los grupos con un patrón compositivo clásico, en definitiva el heavy metal sin adornos se ha vuelto a poner de moda en la última década y media dentro de nuestro mundillo metálico. En este 2026 ha publicado su décimo segundo LP de estudio "hoist the colours high", este resién pasado 21 de agosto, manteniendo su espíritu clásico compositivo, y de la obra dejo la canción "Screamind Evil" a través de un enlace a youtube.

Cheap Trick - Gonna Raise Hell

GONNA  RAISE  HELL 

Una de las formas de formar parte de la historia del heavy metal es sin duda haber sido parte del engranaje incial de lo que luego llegaría a ser el sonido, aunque sea desde una perspectiva más hard rockera pero reconocidamente  por nombres importantísimos del posterior heavy metal, (Helloween, Blind Guardian o Dragonforce por ejemplo) que los destacan como importante influencia en sus inicios como bandas. Hablamos de los estadounidenses Cheap Trick, formados en 1974, con 21 albumes de estudio en su discografía y que siempre se movío compositivamente en ese filo cambiante del hard rock, el rock, power rock o incluso glam. Así pues desde esa perspectiva influencial, tiene cabida en el blog traer algún tema de la banda, en concreto de su cuarto disco "Dream Police" de 1979, quiero dejar en el blog su canción "Gonna Raise Hell", con un aire experimental y una concepción vocal muy a lo Kiss, tema del que dejo un enlace a youtube. Otro poco de Historia pre metálica para mayor comprensión global de nuestro universo sonoro metálico.

Ristridi - Ride The Storm

RIDE  THE  STORM 

Este 2026 es testigo del nacimiento de una nueva banda, proyecto, desde Alemania, Ristridi, liderado e impulsado or el guitarrista, compositor e ingeniero de sonido Michael "Ristridi" Wob, que además de encargarse de todos los instrumentos en el estudio y de las cuestiones técnicas a la hora de la grabación es su principal compositor y se apoya en otros dos músicos para cuestiones vocales, en las voces limpias "Anti", vocalista de Don't Drop The Sword y en los matices agresivos Alex Meyer de Dark Solstice, creando una interesante mezcla de heavy metal matizado. El fruto lo recoge este año como digo con su debut en formato LP "Ride the storm" del que ha visto la luz de forma oficial el pasado día 21 de este mes de agosto y del que dejo hoy el tema que da nombre a la obra a través de un enlace a youtube.

Anthrax - Room For One More

ROOM  FOR  ONE  MORE 

El indiscutible bache sonoro que aconteció a inicios de los 90, siempre desde la perspectiva del sonido metálico clásico, sobre todo con la irrupción del grunge y la misma imposición general del concepto compositivo americano, siempre desde esa perspectiva sucia, "apunkarrada", alejada del heavy de la vieja escuela, llegaría a afectar en mayor o menor medida incluso a bandas asentas, de las que encabezaban sus propios subgéneros, como por ejemplo dentro del Thrash a Anthrax, que enfrentandose a las circunstancias mencionadas y a sus propias circunstancias como los cambios en su formación, se sumergieron en un par de obras que le rechinaron incluso a los seguidores del grupo. Una de ellas fue "Sound of white noise", de 1993, sexto disco del grupo, primer disco con John Bush a la voz que sustituia a Joey Belladonna. De dicha obra, dejo una de las canciones que se pueden rescatar más a mi entender, "Room for one more" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Night Laser es una banda alemana formada en 2014 que en este tiempo de actividad ha publicado ya cinco LP's de estudio si contamos el quinto "Rats in the cradle" cuya fecha oficial de salida será este próximo 25 de septiembre, así pues un grupo bastante activo compositivamente hablando. Su sonido pretende mezclar el sonido heavy con el glam y ellos presumen de ser la punta de lanza del nuevo sonido heavy glam germano, tratando de promocionarse a través de potentes puestas en escena en vivo. Galloglass - Remember The Fire

REMEMBER  THE  FIRE 

Una prueba más del elevado número de bandas con un evidente potencial y con todo para haber realizado una carrera de primera línea, que apenas despuntaron y se separaron prematuramente dejando esa sensación de lo que podría haber sido y apenas fue. En esta ocasión me refiero a la banda alemana de power metal Galloglass que acomienzos de la década de los 2000 nos dejaron dos LP's de estudio, (2003 y 2005) para desaparecer sin más. El debut de 2003 "Legends from now and nevermore" ya dejaba bien claro ese mencionado potencial, esa capacidad dentro del subgénero para haber podido llegar arriba sin problemas, y de él dejo hoy en el blog una de sus canciones, "Remember the fire" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Décimo tercer album de estudio para los alemanes Mystic Prophecy "In Metal" que verá la luz de forma oficial el 27 de noviembre de este 2026, otra de esas bandas que van alcanzando ya el estatus de veteranos desde 2000 en que comenzasen su andadura como banda, para este disco renuevan una importante parte de la banda con uno de los guitarras, batería y bajo nuevos, pero la esencia parece no cambiar a juzgar por el primer adelanto "Robots" del que dejo hoy en el blog un enlace a youtube de su videoclip oficial.

Accept - Shadow Soldiers

SHADOW  SOLDIERS 

Se puede considerar a este "Stalingrad" de 2012 como un disco de confirmación de Accept, de confirmación de que la banda volvía, un grupo con el que ya nadie contaba hasta dos años antes en que regresaron compositivamente tras su desaparición de la escena entre 1996 y 2010, un largo bache tras la salida definitiva de Udo que nos dejaba a todos huérfanos de una de esas bandas fundamentales, y la verdad es que hubiese sido una pena inmensa que Accept, tras su gloriosa década de los ochenta no hubiese tenido opción de lo que aún tenían que demostrar en su carrera. Con esta segunda parte de la misma desde 2010 ya están alcanzando cotas muy altas de calidad, aceptación general, y discos importantes en si mismos, la máquina actual de nuevo está bien engrasada y sigue dando mucho que hablar. Yngwie Malmsteen - Now Or Never

NOW  OR  NEVER 

Otro de esos músicos que uno tiene a priori la impresión de que sabe lo que se va a encontrar con cada nueva obra, son músicos a los que vuelves, muchas veces por costumbre, otras con la esperanza de que rememoren sus mejores momentos, con los que te enganchaste a su sonido, en no pocas ocasiones, (como es el caso) hace ya décadas, y luego suele ser un poco lo de siempre. El pasado 2025 el músico arremetió contra los cantantes que han formado parte de su banda en el pasado tratando de dejar claro que ellos solo han sido un instrumento más a su servicio, que todo el mérito es suyo y que ahora intentan sacar provecho en sus carreras del nombre Yngwie para promocionarse, recordemos que hablamos de nombres de primerísimo nivel internacional, Jeff Scott Soto, Michael Vescera, Mark Boals, Matts Leven o Joe Lynn Turner entre otros, (eso habla por si solo), lo que explica que desde hace tiempo sea ya el cantante él mismo. Las virtudes y los errores que detectas en sus obras se suelen perpetuar, veremos en este "Hell or high water" de este 2026, cuya salida oficial se espera para el 13 de noviembre tras un lustro desde su anterior trabajo. Será ya su vigésimo segundo disco de estudio y de el dejo hoy en el blog su adelanto "Now or never" del que dejo un enlace a youtube de su videoclip oficial.

Amorphis - House Of Sleep

HOUSE  OF  SLEEP 

"Eclipse" es una importante obra dentro de la discografía de los finlandese Amorphis, sobre todo en el sentido del cambio que significó para el grupo la incorporación del vocalista Tomi Joutsen al mismo, con la apertura que llevó dicha maniobra al número de fans que comenzarían a reclutar para su causa. Es un hecho que desde ese momento la carrera del grupo solo ha ido en aumento y que siguen a día de hoy sin tocar techo. De este "Eclipse", de 2006, séptimo disco de estudio del grupo quiero dejar en el blog su canción "House of sleep" de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.
