THE LOST BATTALION
Primer adelanto del nuevo trabajo de esta magnifica banda sueca llamada Sabaton, un grupo que como no podía ser de otra manera se ha situado entre las bandas más respetadas del panorama no solo europeo sino internacional. El disco que verá la salida a la venta en agosto y para ir calentando motores nos dejan ya este "The lost battalion" del que dejo un enlace hoy en el blog. A juzgar por el sonido del primer single nos encontramos ante el sello típico y esperable de Sabaton, un grupo cuya música es de temática histórica, centrada en cuestiones
bélicas, y es toda una declaración de intenciones desde la elección de
su nombre, Sabaton, palabra inglesa que se refiere a una parte de las
armaduras medievales, en nuestra lengua se traduciría como "escarpe",
una pieza que cubría parte de la pierna. Su historia como banda comienza
cuando el batería Daniel Mulback, el guitarra Rikard Sunden y el
bajista Par Sundstrom deciden crear una banda de death metal. Pronto
encuentran al teclisca - vocalista Joakim Broden, y se perfila más un
estilo heavy power metal que será el que termine cuajando. De los
miembros originales solo el bajista continua hoy en la banda así como el
cantante - teclista, aunque como digo se incorporó un poco más tarde
aunque dentro de ese 1999. Comienzan a editar material de estudio en
2001 en forma de una recopilación de sus demos iniciales. No será hasta
2005 cuando editen su primer larga duración como tal, "primo Victoria".,
aunque su primera obra escrita cronológicamente hablando es
"Metallizer", escrita en 2002, y que permanecio a la espera de ser
editada por la discográfica hasta que la banda se hartó y decidió
auto producirse su obra "Primo Victoria", logrando editar "Metallizer" en
2007, siendo en orden de salida su tercera obra, en fin, cosas de este
mundo de la música, o mejor dicho de las discográficas. El grupo es
indudablemente un grupazo, basta con escuchar su discografía para darse
