ATLANTEAN SWORD
Runeshard es una banda hungara formada en 2017 que realiza un sonido que abarca del death black metal sinfónico al power sobre todo en lo que parece pueda ser su evolución futura, aunque de momento no es para nada su elección vocal predominante. Un poco me recuerda a lo que hacen los serbios Numenor, pero como digo con una vertiente vocal más fiel al black metal. De momento han editado solo un LP "Shadowbane" el recien pasado 2021 al que hay que añadir un EP de 2018 llamado "Dreaming spire". Y precisamente de ese trabajo debut del 18 en formato EP quiero hoy dejar en el blog uno de sus temas, en concreto "Atlantean Sword", de la que dejo un enlace a youtube.

Ere the world dreamt its primordial dream
Elder gods dwelt upon this secluded peak
Here, at the summit of this otherwordly realm
Lies a blade, a remnant of the Atlantean age.
Forged in times of ancient past
Wrought of gleaming steel
Tempered in arcane fire
By the runecarvers' zeal.
Its hilt wrapped in dragonhide
adorned with silver rings,
Enchanted by the grim spells
of sorcerer-kings.
Behold!
At last the command is mine,
I shall march with the legions,
And claim this sword, it shall be mine.
Banners have now gathered
as far as the eyes can see
Warriors sterner than the ice
Hone their skills, for carnage comes.
Sounds of anvils echo
Amidst these grim snowy peaks
The dark oracle casts his runes
And augurs our destiny
Warriors of the Empire!
Kneel before the might of his supreme majesty.
Upon the tallest peak
shrouded by everlasting fog
Old guardians come to life
Animated from the stone
By an ancient oath
The guardians are taken aback
Repelled by the warriors' zeal
The blaring clanks of steel on stone
Are soon followed by dead silence,
His majesty stands alone.
