BLIND AND FROZEN
Cuando una cosa resulta evidente suele prometer ser cierta, y evidente era que Anton Kabanen no podía refugiarse como solo guitarrista en una banda ya asentada como Wisdom, pues tras haberse encargado de la composición completa de las tres primeras obras de Battle Beast elevando a la banda desde el desconocimiento a una fama grande y merecida, Anton no podía recluir su talento y necesidad compositivas a solo interpretar temas de otros, es evidente pues que es un líder natural en cualquier banda que monte, y eso es lo que ha hecho. Al final el tiempo pone las cosas en su sitio y "Beast in Black" será sin duda la banda que despejará cualquier duda de quien poseía el talento en "Battle Beast". Tras su salida de la citada banda en 2015 tras "Unholy saviour", el finlandés Anton Kabanen comenzó a pensar en montar un nuevo proyecto. Tras conocer a algunos de los miembros que formarían "Beast in black" de las formas más variadas la banda fue tomando forma. Por ejemplo el bajista Mate Molnar ofreció a Anton tocar la guitarra en su banda madre "Wisdom" y este a cambio tocaría el bajo en "Beast in Black", el griego Yannis Papadopoulos, cantante de "Wardrum" llegó a los oídos de Anton a través de Internet o el batería Sami Hänninen contactó directamente con Anton tras enterarse de su marcha de Battle Beast si es que decidía montar alguna cosa. El caso es que la banda fue tomando forma, con una influencia del heavy metal clásico pero con un lavado de cara "made in Anton Kabanen" para un resultado que solo puede ir en una dirección, calidad y buen hacer. Resulta asombroso el registro vocal de Yannis que incluso puede alcanzar registros propios de voces de mujer aunque con una capacidad para luego alcanzar otros más graves y agresivos, otro punto a favor al menos para mí que siempre he preferido las voces masculinas para esto del heavy. En definitiva, un disco que saldrá a la venta el próximo 3 de noviembre y que ya nos ha dejado un par de adelantos, hoy quiero dejar en el blog el primero de ellos, "Blind and Frozen" que promete que estamos ante una banda incipiente que de mantenerse promete dar mucho que hablar.
